From what I've played of RB2, I'd say they are both about the same. For some reason though it feels like the hammer-ons and pull-offs are more demanding in RB2 compared to the first.Rockband or Rockband 2
the difficulty has substantionally increased since rb1 in terms of on disk songs and rb2 has more many heavy songs, i.e, Visions (wtf, its a girl singing), Painkiller, etc) whereas RB1 had more chill songs like Foreplay and GGAHT, personally, i'd definately go with RB1 (remember, im still talking about on disk songs)and also rb2 has the import feature so you can get the best of both games
I thought rock band 2 had an easier timing window than rock band 1!!!
Rock Band 2 is better, if only slightly. The engine and graphics are almost identical, but the timing window is slightly improved in Rock Band 2. It also brought us Band World Tour online, which was a MAJOR flaw in 1.
