Faulty Gears of War Limited edition code

I just bought the limited edition of gears of war 2 and the code for the gold lancer doesnt work, the maps code worked fine but not the lancer one. anyone else have this problem or know what i can do to fix it?Faulty Gears of War Limited edition code

I know how u feel, kinda. When i got my new 360 last weekend, the 400 free microsoft points does not work.
alright man hope i can help. i had this same problem. got the limited edition, maps worked, lancer didn't, it was frustrating. whenever i entered the code to trigger the download, i got a message saying something about an error and it wouldn't work.i read online somewhere that if you go to account management, then to download history and find the lancer download, then click on download again, it would work. well that didn't work either. that was the number one thing on my list of previous downloads.so then later i downloaded something else, i think it was burnout paradise dlc. when i downloaded that, it bumped the golden lancer down to the second thing on my list of downloads. i tried to download it again, and it worked. not sure if it not being the first item on the list had anything to do with it, but when i tried the suggestion that epic was giving everyone, to choose the download again option, it never worked. but finally one day it did, but it was after i had something else in my list above the lancer download.sorry if this post was long and boring, but i hope it helped. and if you were wondering if you had to use the gold plated lancer forever after you download it, you don't. you can choose not to use it, but use the standard version instead if you so choose.
hey, it happened to me too, i posted a discution topic for that matter some days ago, some ppl said that they just kept trying, it eventually worked, ive not tryied lately tho
