Installing game to hard drive, switching ...

Quick question and I'm hoping someone may already have come across the answer. When you install a game to the hard drive is it locked to that particular console (in particular the saved games)?Reason is, I have an old 20GB Premium that I intend to replace for bigger HD and HDMI. I'd like to grab a 120GB hard drive ASAP but hold off on buying a new console until I can get my hands on the new Jasper hardware revision. If I do this, will I end up with a bunch of saved games that don't work on the new console?Thanks.
