I haven't played with my 360 for a long time and I have been trying to hook it up again and its just not working. I have a standard television and I am following what the manual says. A solid red and a solid white wire should be in the audio slots whilst a gray wire with a line of yellow should be in the tv slot right? I matched the colors to the colors on the back of my standard tv and no picture appears. My 360 and TV are fine so its definitely a wiring mistake. Anything I probably got wrong? I have the cable switiched to TV (not HDTV) and I have a 3 composite slot tv not the 5 type...Whats wrong here?
You could give a little more info. Is there sound, and no picture, or just nothing at all?Whats wrong here?

Is it normal for my Xbox 360 to keep doi ...
Well yesterday i was playing Halo 3 and in the middle of a mission i heard a click-sound and then my 360 shut off!! (I was so mad cause i tried the same part like 50times) But my 360 wouldn't turn on, I just bought it like 3 weeks ago and it is an arcade, so i had to unplugged the power cable form the power box and plugged it back in to get it to work. So i though it was normal maby i accidentally unplugged it or something. But today i was playing my 360 again, in a different room just so ya know, and it did it again! I heard a click and then it shut off!! No i am worried about what is happening. I looked at the power box thing and the side with the cable that plugs into the wall is kinda lose but i wiggled it with my 360 on and it did turn off. Sounds like the power supply brick.
I think your plug in is unplugging for your Powerbar. Happened to me a couple times (Lol Halo too) Make sure its wedged into the power bar so It wont come out. Try that, if your Xbox keeps shutting off and its obviously not from the plug disconnecting phone Microsoft.

yea it has plenty of ventalation and what warning lights?? If this is a problem i should still be able to return in to gamestop because it is under one month still.... it was NEW just so you know.

I remember hearing how finicky the power cord was when they launched... are you using any sort of power strip, surge protector, etc... or is it plugged directly into a wall outlet.
In the launch days, I remember hearing that using any type of adapter other than a direct wall connection could degrade the connection enough to affect the power brick and it would shut off.
Not sure if it was ever validated, but if you are using some adapter or extension cord, that could be the problem.

Make sure the power chord is plugged into the 360 all the way. You should hear a *click* noise when it's all the way in (or at least you do for mine). Make sure the chord is as well properly secured in the power brick all the way in. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. You could return it to gamestop for a new one if the problem continues, but keep in mind the last day before you can return it.

Yea i thought that to, the second time. But the phone that was plugged into that socket was still working. And if i did blow a fuse it would have shut off like 2 other sockets cause my house is wierd weird(Which doesnt have to do with my problem)!
Also make sure the power brick is getting enough ventilation. I keep my brick off of the carpet to ensure proper air flow.
whatever it is, is a technical problem and u dont have to deal with it, more cuz is almost new, just call to MS, they should cover these problems, they are quite fast also, maybe theyll fix it...and who knows...maybe give u a new console jeje

Talk to the store where you purchased it from since it's only 3 weeks old. They may just give you a new one. But if not, then contact MS because it isn't normal for you to be experiencing the problem you are having. Anyways, wishing you good luck.

I just got a new wireless router (a belkin n1 vision) and my brothers and I's 360's wont connect everything else does and they worked on our old router which was a wep security this one is a wpa do you think that has anything to do with it? And what should we do?

This would have been great during that period when Halo 2 was still the top played game on Live on the 360 untill Halo 3 and CoD4 came out.

MS made the decision that no xbox original games will have achievements added to them, and reaffirmed that when they started offering xbox originals for download through Marketplace.The reason the PC version had achievements added was because it was part of MS effort to get PC gamers into console games, and tie in the whole Gams For Windows LIVE thing.

I磎 on to get my third x360 (an elite this time, hope it lasts longer) this monday and with it i磍l go for a new headset, gears 2, dead space, nfs undercover, and thinking to get some of the following: prince of persia, legendary, fallout 3, golden axe, fracture and whatever catches my attention.
I just ordered an xbox 360 for my bday which is after xmas. -Rockband 2-microphone-Forza 2I want a lot more, but these are my most recent additions to my wishlist.
None I got all the best games when they were released. Maybe Rise of the Argonauts dunno yet. May get it on release, but I want Some points and a wireless adapter for my Elite.

it's only for japan. maybe in eu. i kind of wish it was released world wide. microsoft blocked off american IP address so u can make a japan account
