Disk Tray Jam

I'm using a fairly old 360 (purchased about 6 months after launch) and the disk tray jams pretty much all the time but with a simple flick up it comes out perfectly. The worst being when its standing vertical it won't open period (though i don't leave it standing up often). I've never had the RRoD except for a time i thought i did (pretty sure it was due to a loose connection with the power cable not fully inserted due to external fan). is this a sign of worse things to come? Should i prepare a coffin? its been like this for months.Disk Tray Jam
Nah it's not gonna die, My cousin bought a used 360 at gamestop and when he used it the disc tray wouldn't open, the reason why yours is getting jammed is because there is a build up of dust in your trey, do you have the chrime disc tray? if you do then take the cover off clean it and all around the tray...Disk Tray Jam

Yeah, my original XBOX had the same problem. Some times the tray would come out, but most times it wouldn't come out. I sent it to Microsoft and they fixed it, but again I had problems with the disk tray and we had to send it back again and then they replaced the hardware inside. But, I think they said that inside the XBOX was really dirty so try cleaning it.
mine jams when its vertical but only when there is no cd in it i dont know why. but when it does jam i turn it to its horizontal position and it comes right out
I am getting the message where it says disc is unreadable and to clean it. I have gotten it before but recently it has happened to three games all around the same time and i am keeping my games in good condition. Does anyone know how to tell if it is the xbox or the game broken?
