Ive got an older power brick, probably from a 2006 xbox it has the ground for the wall outlet as well as the ground going into the power brick. the outside of the cable is made out of metal instead of the grey plastic like the newer ones.. and I've got a newer post HDMI input Xbox.. is it okay to use that with this? Can i use an older power brick on a newe ...
i dont see why not.. try it out!Can i use an older power brick on a newe ...
Considering that the newer 360s has slightly different power inputs because of the chips, I really wouldn't do that if you have a Falcon or Jasper.
Sure. My elite died and when MS sent me a new one it was a different model. Not sure if it's newer or older but it's different. I see some green parts in the disc drive and the sound it makes isn't the same.
I also have two power bricks because when Microsoft sent me back my refurb they sent me a new brick also. I now have a new brick and the one with the ground (third prong on plug.) I'm afraid to use it on the newer Xbox because it might put out too much electric and fry the system.
Don't do it, the newer 360's use a 175w power supply, while the older systems use a 205w power supply, so I suggest useing one that matches your systems wattage. Just to stay away from any problems.
its fine. With every repair they just send you a new system and to use your old power brick and its no problem.
