Well yesterday i was playing Halo 3 and in the middle of a mission i heard a click-sound and then my 360 shut off!! (I was so mad cause i tried the same part like 50times) But my 360 wouldn't turn on, I just bought it like 3 weeks ago and it is an arcade, so i had to unplugged the power cable form the power box and plugged it back in to get it to work. So i though it was normal maby i accidentally unplugged it or something. But today i was playing my 360 again, in a different room just so ya know, and it did it again! I heard a click and then it shut off!! No i am worried about what is happening. I looked at the power box thing and the side with the cable that plugs into the wall is kinda lose but i wiggled it with my 360 on and it did turn off. Sounds like the power supply brick.
I think your plug in is unplugging for your Powerbar. Happened to me a couple times (Lol Halo too) Make sure its wedged into the power bar so It wont come out. Try that, if your Xbox keeps shutting off and its obviously not from the plug disconnecting phone Microsoft.

yea it has plenty of ventalation and what warning lights?? If this is a problem i should still be able to return in to gamestop because it is under one month still.... it was NEW just so you know.

Will i have have to pay for a new power cable and stuff?? Yea if it happens again ill call Microsoft....
I remember hearing how finicky the power cord was when they launched... are you using any sort of power strip, surge protector, etc... or is it plugged directly into a wall outlet.
In the launch days, I remember hearing that using any type of adapter other than a direct wall connection could degrade the connection enough to affect the power brick and it would shut off.
Not sure if it was ever validated, but if you are using some adapter or extension cord, that could be the problem.

Acctually i used both!! In my PC room i had it plugged into a surge protector and then in my living room it was just the wall! So it cant be that! (it happend in both rooms)
Did it happen at the same spot in the game?

The power brick has a built in surge protector so you should be plugging it into the wall. Make sure your 360 is not on the carpet and your vents have at least a few inches of breathing space. Make sure the power chord is plugged into the 360 all the way. You should hear a *click* noise when it's all the way in (or at least you do for mine). Make sure the chord is as well properly secured in the power brick all the way in. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. You could return it to gamestop for a new one if the problem continues, but keep in mind the last day before you can return it.

Okay thanks for everyones help! It seems i am getting the same answers now. It is off of the carpet and it has plenty of ventalation. SO thanks again!

Yea i thought that to, the second time. But the phone that was plugged into that socket was still working. And if i did blow a fuse it would have shut off like 2 other sockets cause my house is wierd weird(Which doesnt have to do with my problem)!
Also make sure the power brick is getting enough ventilation. I keep my brick off of the carpet to ensure proper air flow.
whatever it is, is a technical problem and u dont have to deal with it, more cuz is almost new, just call to MS, they should cover these problems, they are quite fast also, maybe theyll fix it...and who knows...maybe give u a new console jeje

Talk to the store where you purchased it from since it's only 3 weeks old. They may just give you a new one. But if not, then contact MS because it isn't normal for you to be experiencing the problem you are having. Anyways, wishing you good luck.

Thanks for everyones help the problem has been resolved!! I am just going to return it to gamestop. I have untill like January 20th to return it cause of the holidays!
